The
Fluorinated Polymer are widely appreciated for
their remarkable chemical inertness and their
excellent resistance to aging. |
 |
| |
POLYVINYLIDENE
FLUORIDE (PVDF) offers the specific advantage
of easy processing in accordance with all the
convection methods used in the plastic industry.
PVDF, polymerized, according to its own special
process, offers a high degree of crystallinity
to that by other processes, resulting among other
things, in superior thermomechanical properties.
The intrinsic technical
superiority is one of the reasons for the success
which PVDF has achieved on the world market
for more than 20 years.
But
nothing is possible without a genuine quality
assurance policy which Fluorolined Equipment
follows with their efforts for Total Quality
Management over their products and services.
- Easy
processing by : extrusion, injection, compression,
rotational moulding, blow moulding etc.
- Chemically
inert to most acids, aliphatic and aromatic
organic solvents, alcohols etc.
- Very
high purity.
- Excellent
mechanical properties over a wide range of
temperatures : tensile yield strength up to
55 MPa at 230C and 10 MPa at 1500C.
- Abrasion
resistance comparable to that of polyamides,
and relatively low coefficient of friction.
- Continuous
use at temperatures as high as 1500C
for the homopolymer grades (without mechanical
stress).
- Excellent
thermal aging resistance : tensile yield strength
retention over 90% after 25,000 hours at 1500C
in a ventilated oven.
- Unaffected
by UV (>232nm) and good resistance to gamma
radiation.
- Excellent
intrinsic fire resistance
- Very
easily joined by welding and good capability
for thermoforming.
- Physiologically
harmless and approved for contact with food
products (FDA).

How Our Pumps Self-Prime
1.
The user must only fill the housing once with
the liquid to be pumped or with water. This
is designed to retain this priming liquid even
if the pump is shut off. When started, the pump
impeller mixes air from the suction line with
priming liquid. The resulting froth is expelled
into the priming chamber where the bubbles
collapse, allowing the air to pass off through
the discharge. The liquid from the bubbles falls
back and is retained in the pump until mixed
with more air from the suction line.
2.
This process continues until all the air is
evacuated from the suction line and the liquid
to be pumped rises to the impeller. Normal pumping
takes over from here.
PARTS
SUBJECTED TO WEAR : Impeller, Shaft Seal Assembly
and Volute are replaceable without replacing
other pump housings. The built-in check valve
ensures retention of the priming liquid and
prevents back-flow of the system when the pump
is shut off.

MECHANICAL SEALS / GLAND PACKING
Antico
pumps are fitted with :
Teflon
Bellows mechanical seals
These
seals are manufactured by Durametallic India
Ltd and have ceramic as stationary ring and
teflon bellows as rotary unit.
These
seals are not recommended for :
1. Liquid containing solids or slurry or abrasive
particles.
2. Liquids which get crystallized on cooling
eg. NaOH, CuSO4, NiSO4
etc.
NB : For this seal, external water cooling is
necessary for better service & longer life.
For EXP Series : Seal size : 1.375"
PPCL series : Seal size : 1.875"
Internal Mechanical seal
This
seal is developed by ANTICO for handling liquids
containing slurry upto 20% (not abrasive slurry).
This seal consists of carbon as stationary ring
fixed in a neoprene/hypelon rubber bellows and
carbon/ceramic as a rotary ring. The stationary
ring and bellows are held by a non-metallic
bellows holder.
Seal recommended for flooded suction.
Excellent for HF upto 40%
Can be used for liquid getting crystallized
on cooling. Not recommended for liquid
containing organic compound or solvents due
to Rubber Bellows.
Gland
Packing
Teflon
impregnated blue asbestos 10mm & 12mm square
gland packing are put in EXP & PPCL series.
Gland packed pumps are normally recommended
for transfer of caustic (40%) and primary effluents.
For EXP series the size is 10mm sq.
For PPCL series the size is 12mm sq.
|
All
pumps, shafts are fitted with sleeves of different materials
compatible with the liquid handled.
